Apex General Contractors' Success with CMHS Medical Office Building / GME Clinic Project

Renovate 4,500 square feet of the former Community Memorial Health Systems Physical Therapy space, for the new Graduate Medical Education (GME) Clinic within a Multi-Tenant 3-Story Medical Office Building. Clinic improvements were under license and jurisdiction of OSHPD 3. Project included the upgrade of the existing Elevator to comply with State of California regulations.

Upgrade Fire Alarm, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing base building systems for (10) new exam rooms, (1) treatment room, (5) private offices, (3) chart stations, (1) staff lounge, (1) staff restroom, (1) patient restroom, reception area, and waiting room. Renovate common area hallway Restrooms to comply with ADA Requirements. Provide and install custom built-in plastic laminate cabinetry to support new exam rooms, chart, staff lounge, reception desk, and waiting room walk-up counters.

APEX self-performed work included steel stud framing, drywall, installation of doors, and specialty wall protection (FRP, rub rails, and corner guards). Provide oversight and coordination of subcontracted work (finishes and specialties); acoustical ceilings, floor coverings, ceramic tile, solid surface countertops, painting and wall coverings, and toilet room accessories. Coordinate with CMHS Engineering Department for water, electrical and mechanical service shut-downs and start-up.
